School-Based Leadership
The Kilmer K8 School’s leadership structure includes the following administrative staff:
Principal, Mr. Joseph Foley Assistant Principal, Mr. Douglas Miller
ABA Strand Specialist, Ms. Aimee Smith-Munnelly
The Principal is the instructional and operational/administrative leader of the school. He travels to each site to support instruction by working with staff individually and in teams, and by supervising student learning and leading professional learning among the staff. The Principal develops the annual school budget and staffing plan.
The Assistant Principal, also travels between the two buildings, and assists in all of these areas and is in charge of day to day operations including discipline and transportation.

Instructional Leadership Team (ILT)
The ILT is a team composed of teachers, the assistant principal, and the principal, whose task is to advise the principal on matters concerning teaching, learning, assessment, and professional development. The principal delivers an ILT report to the School Site Council periodically. |
School Site Council (SSC)
The SSC is an inclusive governance body which operates on a consensus decision-making model. Teachers, staff, and parents are elected to the council to serve with the principal as a single decision-making team. The monthly SSC meetings are open to the entire community.
